We've used blogs in English 9 before, but I haven't been all that happy with how they worked. The students did a great job; it was more the interface and administration that plagued me. Thus, I'm trying yet another way to facilitate student blogs. Blogger, we have arrived!
This semester will be an experiment. Can we all use Blogger effectively? Do students put themselves out there, exploring, hypothesizing, exclaiming? Am I able to keep track of everyone's posts? It's all unknown territory right now.
We shall see.
